Money rules the world.....bitter truth

It seems MONEY or even FUTURE MONEY (read as "CREDIT") can buy one just about anything..

So what all can money buy you???
  • Clothes
  • Shoes
  • Accessories / Cosmetics
  • House (or houses)
  • Car (Or cars)
  • Travel by any mode (Air / Train / Bus / Auto / Horse / Cart, etc etc.)
  •  Holidays
  • Entertainment - Let your imagination run wild! (Outings / Movies / Dinners, etc etc etc.
  • Electronics
  • Pets
  • Lifestyle
  • Luxuries
  • Companies
  • Services
  • Medical Care
  • Financial Assets
  • Vanities
  • ... and many more things, which you do not really NEED today!

And if you thought that's it.. There is more that MONEY can buy
  • A life partner / spouse
  • Experiences
  • Fake Love (and sometimes even TRUE LOVE!)
  • A social image
  • A social network
  • Your child's love (for a few minutes! especially with all the material stuff)
  • And even a child (Adoption / Surrogacy, at all)

And if you thought that's it.. There's more that MONEY can buy
  • Admissions
  • Certificates
  • Degrees
  • Jobs
  • Careers
  • Promotions
  • Power
  • Publicity

And if you thought that's it... There's more that MONEY can buy
  • Lies
  • News
  • Views
  • Truth
  • Speed
  • The law
  • Policies
  • Reforms
  • Opinions
  • Partnerships
  • Associations
  • Networks
  • Collaborations
  • Powerful and Influential friends

And then I can't help but wonder..
Can money buy even these?
  • Past
  • Dreams
  • Hopes
  • Love
  • Values
  • Relationships
  • Character
  • ... and even your CONSCIOUS?

It appears that in today's day and age.. MONEY can indeed buy you just about EVERYTHING! That is why they say it is indeed MONEY that makes the WORLD go ROUND & ROUND!

Do you know where to draw the line?

When any relationship starts, it begins in either of the two ways below

  • With a THICK line between two people clearly defining boundaries. Classic examples are friends, work colleagues, couple, etc.
  • With no real lines and no specific boundaries. Classic examples are parents & children, siblings, etc.

Over time relationships grow and as they evolve - they end up in either of the two ways below:

  • With well-defined lines between two people clearly defining boundaries, what's OK and what's NOT OK
  • With hazy lines and no specific boundaries, no real clarity on what's OK and what's NOT OK.

Now here-in lies the problem..
if a relationship has "hazy lines and no specific boundaries, no real clarity on what's OK and what's NOT OK" - At some point, one thing is bound to happen - One starts taking things for GRANTED. And beyond a point, that's NOT OK with most people...

So what happens?
Things are said which hurt
Things are done which hurt
Things are ignored which hurt

And that puts permanent cracks between people in a beautiful relationship

So what can be done to avoid this?
Well I think "Drawing the line" in relationships before its too LATE
Be it with your parents
Be it with your children
Be it with your spouse
Be it with your friends
Be it with your family
Be it with your colleagues
Be it with just about anyone

Learn to draw the lines
Sooner than Later
Let them know what's OK
Let them know what's NOT OK

So, Do you know where to draw the line? If not, it's food for thought!

Sometimes you make one....

Sometimes you make one
Laugh
Cry
Smile

Sometimes you make one
Speak
Silent

Sometimes you make one
Love
Hate

Sometimes you make one
Give
Receive

Sometimes you make one
Stay
Move

Sometimes you make one
Forget
Recall

Sometimes you make one
Let-Go
Hold-On

Sometimes you make one
Create
Destroy

Sometimes you make one
Come
Go

Sometimes you make one
Complete
Incomplete

Sometimes you make one
Forgive
Blame

Sometimes you make one
Be the savior
Be the victim

Sometimes you make one
Be the cause
Be the effect

Sometimes you make one
Rise
Fall

Sometimes you make one
Succeed
Fail

Sometimes you make one
Be
Go beyond

Why?
How?

Is this meant to be?
Rab Rakha!!!!!

Can you choose?

Can you choose
Between your love and your life?

Can you choose
Between what you believe in and what you really desire?

Can you choose
Between your dreams and your fears?

Can you choose
Between your left hand and right hand?

Can you choose
Between your head and your heart?

Can you choose
Between bad and ugly?

Can you choose
Between being rude and being mean?

Can you choose
Between words and actions

Can you choose
Between your past and your future?

Can you choose
Between giving and receiving?

Can you choose
Between your eyes and mouth?

Can you choose
Between YOU and THEM?

Can you choose
Between life and death?

Can you choose
Between BLACK and BLACK
Between WHITE and WHITE
Between RED and RED
Between BEAUTY and BEAUTY
Between SELFLESSNESS and SELFLESSNESS
Between THE BEAST and THE BEAST
Between SELFISHNESS and SELFISHNESS

Can you choose?

yes! Sometimes you have to CHOOSE
Its tough..
but the choice HAS to be MADE
And then once you make the choice
The toughest part is living the choice
Every single day
Every single day
Every single day

Relationships & Us...We & Relationships

In the voyage of life - You build, nurture and let-go of one / many relationships....
And in a pensive moment when you try to connect the dots of your life, you realize the many facets of relationships

Some make you love yourself
Some teach you to fall in love
Some coerce you to experience love
Some enable you to express your love
Some make you understand the meaning of life

Some make you define your priorities
Some enable you to choose your priorities
Some compel you to re-define your priorities

Some teach you
Some make you teach

Some are amazing
You are amazed at how some turn out
Some never cease to amaze you

Some inspire you
To some you are an inspiration

Some make you care
Some teach you to care
Some show you the way to care
And some make you realize that its not worth caring for

Some make you laugh
Some make you cry
Some make you hope
And some make you pine

Some make you forget yourself
Some make you forget the world
Some make you forget time
Some make you forget life

Some encompass you in a bubble
Some make you burst your bubbles
Some fill your life with bubbles of many kinds

Some are great
Some are good
Some are okay
Some are bad
Some are ugly

There are just so many kinds of relationships
And each one
Was meant to be
Is meant to be

To make you live
To make you learn
To make you love
To make you what you are
To mold you to what you should be
To eventually route you to the final destination.....

The Crazy Writer In Me.....

Like a cat, I prefer sitting in the far corner of my place with my back against the wall, and spilling my thoughts....

Writers are crazy. The better the writer, the crazier she is. People develop a fascination with a writer they like. But you don't want to really get to know a writer. You can't really know a writer. Because a writer is not one person. She is so many people in one person. She'll love you and hurt you and break you. She has the itch you'll never be able to scratch. A craving you'll never be able to satisfy. You are better off knowing the writer only through her writings.

She is alluring, and mysterious and fascinating, and you will find her sitting in a corner of the house, coffee shop, book shop or a library in a pretty dress writing in a vintage notebook, Ipad or a tiny laptop. She'll stare into the void with her lips sightly parted. She'll smile at the rain outside, then she'll start scribbling again. She may or may not be wearing glasses, depending on the kind of day she is having, but she'll always have her hair down until she is forced to tie them up. She likes to be free, you see.  She'll sip out of her coffee every now and then. She'll rarely hold the cup with the handle. She likes to try new ways.

At this time, you'd probably want to go up and talk to her. She seems harmless. She is not. She wont be interested in you, no matter how handsome or smart or intelligent you are. She may be interested in the idea of you, but she won't be interested in you. Nothing that is vast in the universe enters into our lives without a curse. This one is her curse.

If you still decide to talk to her, be warned. She will spell-bind you with her beautiful smile, and she'll impress you with her thoughts, because she can talk about anything in the world. She's well read and well traveled. She'll even make up stories if she doesn't have actual knowledge. You really can't win her.

Shades and stages if life.....

Isn't falling in love such a wonderful feeling?
This world has such excellent examples of people falling head over heels in love.
So what makes two people love each other so intensely?
Can it be chemistry?
Can it be shared likes and dislikes?
Could it be both?
Whatever it is, love isn't impatient.
Love can be that gentle tug without heart, when you talk or think about that person.
Love isn't selfish. Because you give all you can and expect little in return.
Love isn't lust, because when you love that person, you could go an entire lifetime, without lusting.
Love is that soothing tub of warm water when your body is freezing.
No other emotion in history can be more powerful than to fall in love.
While you are falling in love, you also wonder if you are going to get hurt when you hit the ground. True love can however make you land on the ground like a cat.
So is love a lost cause?
I don’t know.
But this I know. Love is that cognitive elixir that can make everyday life a whole lot easier to bear.
Can we sell bottled love?
Maybe never.
Loving a person can be the most fulfilling act a human being can do.
Can we conjure love out of thin air?
Again, no.
Sometimes, you find it and you will live the rest of your lives, wondering why you didn't meet each other earlier.
And then sometimes, you don’t and you will live with a person who is incompatible and has nothing in common.
To find a person, who can reciprocate the love you yearn for, is the single greatest goal human have.
So what is love?
Love makes you grin a little longer and blush pinker.
Love makes your walk a little livelier.
Love is that feeling of security and trust.
Love makes you want to go that extra marathon for him.
Love makes everything around you so much better.
Love can shrink distances and let you hold each other.
Love can make your heart skip a beat when you are together yet apart.

Take love out of a person and the world will be a cruel place to exist but love can make life that much more colorful.

Corporate Chameleon: The Art of Saying Nothing to the Office "Two-Face"

We all know the type. They walk up to your cubicle, smelling faintly of filter coffee and toxic positivity, flash a brilliant smile, and say...
